Joshua Tree

We left Sedona and headed towards Palm Springs.  We were going to spend the night in a hotel in La Quinta about 25 miles from Palm Springs where our friends are buying a winter home but it was the Bob Hope Classic and all the hotels were full.   We found a RV park a few miles west of there and spent the night for $23.00.  In the morning we headed to Joshua Tree.  We stayed there last year and were thinking maybe we didn't want to go back since we had such a great time last year not sure we could top it.  We were wrong.  We got our same campsite (the best we think in the park) and had no neighbors around us.  It had snowed last week so there was a bit of snow on the ground and the sky was perfect blue.  We had an amazing time.  We stayed two nights and took a couple of short hikes.  It rained last night just as Jimmy's campfire was done.
This morning we left and headed to a campground north of Santa Barbara.
Be sure and check out the Joshua Tree pictures.  The one below is one of my favorites.

Great photos, Brenda. I like the low sunlight on the rock surrounded lone Yucca tree.

My brother lives in the Mojave valley just behind you and loves it there, but heads for the hills in the summer!
